About Us

Wood Fired Foods is a provider of quality artisan-style pizzas using old-world, wood-fired brick ovens. We offer a full range of pizzas for everyone’s tastes. The wood-burning oven cooks at about 800 degrees Fahrenheit. That makes for fast cooking that has a transformative effect on every pizza, lending it a slightly smoky flavor, a char around the edge, and a crust that’s perfectly crisp.
 

Experience & Working

Owner, Daniel Hayes, began his career as a chef in New England in the early 80’s before moving to Washington, DC where he continued his chef profession at Nathans in Georgetown, L’Auberge Chez François in Great Falls, among others. Settled for years now in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, each pizza, hand-made by Daniel and his skilled staff perfectly complement your wine and beer tasting experience at the winery.

Our self-contained unit, our hand-made products, and our fresh, local ingredients blend together to give you a unique, wholesome, and memorable day to remember.
